Gothic Steam Punk wedding flowers in abundance at Sunninghill Weddings venue in Dorchester
Floral Couture by Jay certainly lived up to their motto 'Flowers don't tell they Show'!
Take a closer look at this awesome bouquet and you see that it goes beyond colour matching the flowers to the wedding theme, it is adorned with tiny brass cogs and wheels that really reflect this couple's unique personality.
Hand tied bride squad bouquets in black and purple together with pink and purple button holes complete the look.
Sunninghill Weddings is perfect Dorset venue for a Gothic Inspired Wedding theme
A Grade II Victorian Gothic house set within its own walled gardens, Sunninghill offers huge scope to style your Gothic wedding theme.
Think gargoyle stone carvings on the arched entrance, stunning stained glass windows and magnificent wooden fireplaces beautifully carved are a perfect backdrop for your wedding pictures.
The house and grounds are hired exclusively for your wedding day giving you a private houseparty vibe.
The Sunninghill Weddings Event Manager Jacky is on hand to help you plan your special day.
Sunninghill is hired to our wedding couples with a neutral venue styling which C&S chose to ramp up to reflect their wedding vibe by employing local venue stylist White Willow Weddings
The couple's black and purple colour scheme was a perfect choice for this gothic steam punk wedding theme.
Gothic Venue Styling at Sunninghill Weddings styled by White Willow Weddings
Debi from White Willow Weddings used a mix of black and purple chair sashes to accentuate the wedding aisle which had two bay trees either side to mark the start of the wedding march. Silk petals, also in black and purple were scattered along the couple's personalised aisle runner.
The high attention to detail of the venue styling stands out. We loved the black candles in the two tall silver candelabras which framed the wedding couple as they exchanged their wedding vows.
Also a big hit was the fresh bay leaves scattered on the window sills and the edge of the Sunninghill Grand Staircase - the aromatic bay stimulating the guest's sense of smell in addition to being a feast for the eyes.
Natural biodegradable confetti pouches were also supplied by White Willow Weddings which they placed on the ceremony chairs on hire from Rochesters Event Hire.
The Sunninghill Weddings Team work alongside our coupe's venue stylists as part of our complimentary wedding planning service and free on the day wedding coordination service.

Loving Cat's Gothic Bridal Look for her Wedding at Sunninghill, Dorchester
The Black Wedding dress is a key part of the gothic look; Cat chose a Victorian style dress which she customised with crystal beading.
The crystal detail matched the sparkly neck brooch, skull drop earrings and her amazing skull tiara.
The black lace sleeves were held in place with a finger loop, delicately embellished with a small black rose.

A true story and explanation of the link between a sprout and postponement of your 2020 wedding plans
This story reminds me of my dad.
When I was younger he grew vegetables in the garden.
My favourite vegetable is the much aligned 'love it or hate it' sprout.
Seasonally sprouts are a winter vegetable. If you haven't seen them growing they grow on a tall stalk above ground; lots of them on one stalk.
As the knobbly veg grew I was always eager to pick them BUT my dad said no, he told me that we had to wait for the first frost which made the sprouts tighten their leaves and as a result taste better.
As an adult I can buy sprouts at any time throughout the year however, I don't. Even though they are my favourite vegetable I only buy them for our Christmas lunch.
When I peel the sprouts I can almost taste their flavour; as they are cooking, their smell wafting through the kitchen I cannot begin to express how much I am looking forward to eating them at last.
It's not the turkey or the trimmings or the accoutrements of Christmas that feeds my soul, it is the humble sprout that I have waited to eat for many, many months.
Why your new postponed wedding date will be more meaningful to you both
